Sydney Fanmeet 18th July 2009

September 15th, 2009

I arrived with Bec and we were 10 minutes late because there was track work on our train line. As I arrived there we already had a large crowd talking amongst each other and clearly having a good time. Kristine’s brother, Jon, took photos of us outside the Opera house and with the Harbour Bridge in the background.

We then caught the Ferry to Sydney Aquarium and walked to a small park where we played games. On the ferry we took up the entire seating area inside and some people were outside too so it proves we were a really big team this time round. I loved some of the facial reactions from customers coming on board and looking at the seating area being filled up by girls in red.

I think the games went really well despite the rules muck up (I apologise for that, next time I’ll make them clearer). Especially with the munchies Wolly provided to help us make it through to lunch.

We then walked to our favourite Korean restaurant Seoul Ria for lunch. We ordered and the food was quickly made and before too long we were stuffing our faces on yummy food. We also met Leesah’s friends and found out that it was our lovely mr&mrskimjaejoong /Thu’s birthday. So I hope she had a wonderful day and I appreciate her coming to the fan meet on her own special day. After we ate we played Pin The Head On YooChun (supplied by LeeYen [thank youuuu ^^])

and best signage award. The presents were supplied by our lovely member Helen.

Table 1:

Table 2:

After lunch most of us went to Karaoke.

Cecily, Betty and I mainly hogged the microphone the whole time but we still let others have a go. We also gained a few back up dancers who also joined in on the fun. We all spazzed to Sorry Sorry By SuJu and Gee by SNSD which I think I can safely say were roof raisers and people at the service table could hear us Hahaha. Sadly our session ended at 6 and we all left. Cily, Helen, Alex, Krissy, Becca-ya and I stayed around and sang more songs for an extra hour. Then we departed.

I personally think that this was the best fan meet, maybe it’s because I’m used to all the people and the two V’s and cokes that I had that sent me on a high but from what I heard everyone had a good time. I’m glad to have finally met more members.

Thank you everyone for coming and making the day sensational.
I wanna thank everyone for trying their best to mingle with everyone else. We understand that some of you are shy and mingling with others can be hard for you (especially the hyper regulars like Cily, Betty Cassie [striking CAUSE I CAN TOO] and Me).
I also would like to thank the newbies who hyped up as well, (Courtney, Midori, Isabella, and the others, I can’t exactly remember your names sorry)
Helen for supplying the awards for our competitions.
Wolly for just being her same old awesome self.
Cassie my game tally-er.
Jon our photographer.
And most importantly to Krissy who organised the whole thing. You did an amazing job girl and we love you for it.

Melbourne Fanmeet 28th February 2009

May 5th, 2009

The fourth Melbourne fanmeet was held on Saturday, 28 February 2009. The day started off at around 12pm where most people met up at Flinders Station. While waiting for some latecomers for approximately 15 minutes, nametags were distributed. After which, the whole group headed to Queen Victoria Gardens on foot. What are we doing in a garden? Well, this fanmeet is very much different from the previous ones. Instead of heading to Korean Restaurant to have lunch, we had a picnic. Each person brought along some food from home to share and in addition we had KFC as a couple of fans did blasted TVXQ songs through their handphones/IPods.

While having our lunch with TVXQ songs soothing our ears, we mingled around and got to know people better. Then came the fun part, it’s quiz time! This is where the fans are tested on their TVXQ knowledge. It started off with people being divided into groups of 4 and a total of 26 questions had to be answered. The battle of the quiz among the groups ended with 2 groups winning prizes. The prize included were pictures of the boys and a bonus TVXQ Australia badge. Not only do we get to test out knowledge on the boys, but also hitting piñatas!

The piñatas prepared were the cute versions of the boys and like every other piñata game, people who want to hit the piñatas had to be blindfolded. Indeed, it was a tough game, many people did not managed to hit them but after many tries, the piñatas were cracked opened, which mean, lollies for everyone~~

After all the fun moments at the garden, we had a group photo taken before heading off to the karaoke place where everyone went high singing and dancing to TVXQ songs. After tiring out our voices for 2 hours, it was time to bid goodbye~~~

Sydney Fanmeet March 7th 2009

May 5th, 2009

Fan Account by Kristine (pnaikween)

8:30am - I told GeLo to get ready so that we’ll get to the station on time and be at Circular Quay on time too bcoz Cecily, Cassie and Betty are meeting us up there.

9:00am -  We got the Campbelltown Station but our early train got cancelled, so we have to wait for another 35 minutes for the next one. Then I sent Cecily (our baby in the forum) a text message. I didn’t want her to wait for us that long, so I had to tell her what happened. Apparently, she’s already on her way to the Quay. How apologetic I was, I couldn’t do anything.. coz of our stupid train.. don’t know why how it got cancelled. I also sent Cassie a text message to tell her the same thing.

10:45am -

I received a text message from Cecily “Krissssyy…~ are you here yet? :D” I told her I’m already in Central. Then, I got to the Quay there I saw Cecily, Cassie and Betty right at the front of Wharf 2.  Excited we were, we started observing each other who were wearing red..? HAHA.. Cecily and Betty were wearing red top, as I recall Cassie wasn’t wearing anything in red and I was wearing a red thongs and red bangle XD and my brother was wearing a basketball jersey with red linings.

11:10am - We walked to together to our spot at Royal Botanical Gardens. As soon as we got to our spot we helped each other to spread out our picnic mats. Betty started our day with her laughter and hyper mood, none of us know why and what was she laughing. I told them it must be the effect of new SuJu’s song “SORRY SORRY” from the night before and plus the fanmeet. Yet, she’s still laughing her head off, every movement she does she has to laugh HAHAHA!! *huggles Betty*
She’s that hype, she left an impression to my brother. When Cecily and Betty went back to the Quay to buy some balloons, GeLo ask me and Cassie “Who’s that girl that laughs alot?” We told him it was Betty..

While we were waiting for the two to come back, Cassie and GeLo were becoming very friendly with each other, I never thought that GeLo will open up that easily to Cassie considering it’s their first time to meet each other. He wanted to play with Cecily then, but I told him that she might be busy with Eskie and Nana, so I told him that play with Cassie and to the other girls that will be arriving later on that day.

Cassie and GeLo made a map with our picnic mats. There were blue mat as Korea, red mat as Japan, a patterned mat as Yoochun’s house (with Changmin’s room) and on that mat there were two water bottles and it suppose to be Yoochun and Junsu, and there’s one medium mat as Jaejoong’s house.

While i was fixing my bag and checking all the nametags are there.. Cassie and GeLo are already playing “attacking Yoochun’s house” HAHAHAHA!!! I like what Cassie’s revenge on GeLo…“Your sister, will get mad at you when you get back home” HAHA something like that.. Well, Cassie has a point.. He is attacking Yoochun and his house after all.

Then after 30 minutes, Cecily and Betty came back with a love heart balloon (just one) and one packet of long balloons. I didn’t had a closer look of it. But as far as I know those balloons were failed! it was easily to burst and the pump wasn’t working properly. By that, Betty once again was laughing over and over. Then later on they joined Cassie and GeLo to play “ATTACK Yoochun, JJ’s House”

12:00pm - Cassie and I walked back to the Quay, Wharf 2 where we supposed to meet all the rest of the members. Cassie went somewhere to buy her drink, while I stood by in front of the lift just opposite Wharf 2. I was looking at the front of the Wharf, I see red people. I already had the feeling that it was them. I didn’t want to leave my spot in case Cassie might come back and didn’t see me there. When I picked up my folder on the ground, I looked at the red people again, there I spotted Eskie!! lol don’t ask me why I spotted Eskie straight away. I guess she glows out of everyone. Just like Jaejoongie!! Like husband like wifey. Then few seconds after that I saw my baby Widya waving at me, so I waved back. Out of my excitement, I just started walking towards them, and then I remember Cassie!!! I looked back I saw Cassie just right behind me.

My baby Widya coming towards me and we gave each other a power hug!! A hug that felt like we haven’t seen each other for such a long time *muahh* next Eskie (my supplier of drugs on that day) I’m so happy to see her again. Then Jasmin! We gave each other another POWER HUG. That’s how much we miss each other. Plus another power hugs for Jessica….

Then I was thinking there’s someone else meant to be there. I turned to my left, there I saw Vici *squiiiishes* she’s so cute. Out of the blue I just gave her a hug but she said “Do you even know who I am?” I’m like.. “of corz, you’re Vici (I think I even pronounced it wrong, I said it as Vicki… it meant to be as Vi-shi).

As soon as we got to our spot, Widya were checking everyone on her list while I give out the nametags. After giving them out, I had to look for Nana XD she’s the most adorable girl I’ve met on that day, considering she’s so young. I wanted to take her home and look after her.

Few minute after that, one person surprised everyone, she told me not to tell anyone that she’s coming. Izah came!!! I rushed to her and gave her one of my power hug! LOL I MISS YOU IZZZZ!!!!

Everyone, were settled. Widya started the game, then Rosa rang me to confirmed where we were. Once she arrived she joined in the fun. The games were, PUZZLE, DBSK CHARADES, DBSK QUESTIONNAIRE…..Overall, KIMCHI TEAM won the game..

Then, here comes the food. We ate pizzas, KFC chicken, kimbap, salad (which hardly touch except me and Eskie) and and…Betty’s cookies and my homebaked cupcakes with Yoochun, Changmin and Yunho toppers.

At 3:15 we left our spot walked together to the Quay to catch our train back to Town Hall for our Karaoke session @ Sydney Noraebang. We had 1hr session, but it seems like 10 minutes for me, even though I wasnt singing, becoz JASMIN!! hogged the microphone LOL!! but it was FUN XD.

After eating, everyone were mingling with each other, there were group of new members getting to know each other, there were a group that known each other, there were a group that was practising the dance of HaHaHa song, but failed at the end and lastly there were Me and Cassie, going around to each member to take a photo, soon after that we had our group photos (sorry Widya, I didn’t bring my tripod then…next time).  After all the camwhoring sessions, we had to clean and pack our stuff.

ALL I can say is that THANK SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCHH!! to everyone who came and joined in the fun with us! Looking forward meeting you again on our next fanmeet!!

January 4th, 2009

group picture

The day started at Flinders Train Station in a sudden sea of people wearing purple - forty-five people in all. Almost immediately we noticed each other and introduced ourselves. After name tags were distributed, lots of fangirling that had commenced already, we made our way to several shops in the city that sell TVXQ related goods.

After shopping at a well known asian music/dvd store and a popular asian magazine store, we had lunch at Seoul Korean Restaurant in chinatown. After everyone settled down and had ordered their meals, we played trivia games to break the ice and win some goodie bags (supplied by Eskie).

After lunch we had a photo session outside the restaurant and afterwards continued our day at the karaoke place by singing and dancing to TVXQ songs.

When we had exhausted our voices and energy, we went to Max Brenner for some afternoon chocolate boost.

Second Sydney Fanmeet 27 September 2008

January 3rd, 2009

The second Sydney Fanmeet was held on Saturday, 27 September 2008. The day started at around 11 AM when everyone met up at Seoul Ria, one of the best korean restaurant in Sydney. The restaurant’s staff kindly played TVXQ latest album, Mirotic, which gets everyone in the mood.

To break the ice, we played several TVXQ related games from trivia to picture guessing game hosted by fairy and cecily. One group came out as the winner but everyone received a little prize (supplied by fairy) for being such good sports.

After the game, we had delicious korean lunch while chatting and fangirling with each other. Next on the schedule was outdoor photo session but because it was a warm day, everyone agreed to not go out. So we took group pictures in the restaurant instead.

Around 2pm we made our way to Easyway for some drinks and then to Show Karaoke for DVD session. At the karaoke place we played T concert DVD and have our own little “concert”. Everyone went high as soon as TVXQ came onto the screen. When everyone started to get hungry again, we had cake (supplied by helen), cupcakes (supplied for pnaikween)  and snacks while still watching the DVD.

Overall it was a fun day out for everyone, we made new friends and it’s always nice to put a face on an online name.

TVXQ Australia Sydney Fan Meet 7 June 2008

written by Cecily

On 7 June 2008, TVXQ Australia held its first official fan meet in Sydney with 29 fans around the area attending. The day consisted of games, lunch, shopping and of course, Karaoke. Organised by Widya and Sorcha, also known as fairy and Xenatia on TVXQ Australia, the fan meet was a huge success. The aim of this day was to unite the all TVXQ/DBSK/THSK fans around the Sydney area. On the same day, the fans also had a chance to celebrate Micky Yoochun’s 22nd (23rd in Korea) Birthday, in courtesy of Helen, who supplied the cake, as well as a lot of merchandise for the other fans to admire, play with and buy.

The day started at 10AM at Belmore Park, where the fans approached the scarylooking nice two ladies dressed in red who were blowing up the red balloons for everyone to play with, and almost EVERYONE wore red, which was fantastic for the group photos. Of course, everyone was shy at first, but then some of us took out our merchandise and everyone began to fangirl together. Before we left for lunch, we played Trivia and everyone was surprised by the answers they heard. Next came lunch at MillioRe where everyone enjoyed the delicious Korean food, and for some, tried it for the first time. They also wrote the post cards for the “Hello, We Exist!” Project organized by TVXQ Australia . Soon, it was time for shopping! We walked all over the city and went to various asian music stores where many bought TVXQ and other asian band’s merchandise. As everyone waited for Helen patiently, they sat around the park near the Entertainment Centre, where many people stared and pointed curiously. Soon, Helen arrived and everyone jumped and shouted with excitement as she approached with a suitcase which everyone assumed was the DBSK goodies, and they were right! It was. Together, we all walked to pick up the cake that Helen ordered and walked together to Sydney Karaoke on George Street, where the fans celebrated Micky’s birthday, enjoyed the cake, received their goodies and sang their hearts out.

The TVXQ Australia Sydney Fan meet was a huge success and everyone had a great time. Our aim was accomplished and it was a great experience for everyone to meet new people that had the same interests. Everyone that attended went home with a Happy Micky Day goodie bag, a bunch of new friends and less money that they had brought earlier. A big thanks to Widya and Sorcha for organizing this event and Helen for supplying everyone with DBSK goodies and cake.
